Due to your phenomenal amount of requests, Thirty Seconds To Mars will be gracing the stage at this year's MTV EMAs!
The award show will take place on November 7th. In most of Europe, it will be aired live on MTV at 21.00 CET. In the U.S., it will be aired on MTV2 at 9pm. Other areas, please check your local listings!

The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference is a book by Malcolm Gladwell, first published by Little Brown in 2000. Gladwell defines a tipping point as "the moment of critical mass, the threshold, the boiling point." The book seeks to explain and describe the "mysterious" sociological changes that mark everyday life. As Gladwell states, "Ideas and products and messages and behaviors spread like viruses do."

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a 2004 American romantic fantasy film scripted by Charlie Kaufman and directed by Michel Gondry. The film uses elements of science fiction, nonlinear narration and neosurrealism to explore the nature of memory and romantic love.It opened in North America on March 19, 2004 and grossed over US$70 million worldwide .

Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols is the only studio album by the English punk rock band The Sex Pistols, a highly influential and controversial English punk rock band. Fans and critics alike generally regard the album as an extremely important album in the history of rock music, citing the lasting influence it has had on subsequent punk rock musicians and other musical genres that were influenced by such punk rock artists.

New York Magazine says Omen Restaurant is "The most singularly uncommon Japanese meal you can clear your senses with is to be found at this rustic home to Kyoto-style country cooking. The food looks coarse—little bowls with mackerel and daikon radish, or a quail egg oozing over a chunk of toro—and the first swallow is likely to be eerie and sharp. But the aftertaste provokes instantaneous acceptance followed by a craving for more."

The Dharma Bums is a 1958 novel by Beat Generation author Jack Kerouac. The semi-fictional accounts in the novel are based upon events that occurred years after the events of On the Road. The main characters are the narrator Ray Smith, based on Kerouac, and Japhy Ryder, based on the poet and essayist Gary Snyder, who was instrumental in Kerouac's introduction to Buddhism in the mid-1950s. The book largely concerns duality in Kerouac's life and ideals, examining the relationship that the outdoors, bicycling, mountaineering, hiking and hitchhiking through the West had with his "city life" of jazz clubs, poetry readings, and drunken parties. |

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (commonly known as Dr. Strangelove) is a 1964 black comedy film which satirized the nuclear scare. It was directed, produced, and co-written by Stanley Kubrick. The story concerns an unhinged United States Air Force general who orders a first strike nuclear attack on the Soviet Union, and follows the President of the United States, his advisors, the Joint Chiefs of Staff and a Royal Air Force (RAF) officer as they try to recall the bombers to prevent a nuclear apocalypse, as well as the crew of one B-52 as they attempt to deliver their payload. |

Naked Lunch is a novel by William S. Burroughs originally published in 1959.The book is structured as a series of loosely-connected vignettes. Burroughs himself stated that the chapters are intended to be read in any order. Play is the fifth studio album by the music artist Moby, released on May 17, 1999 on V2 Records. While some of Moby's earlier work garnered critical and commercial success within the electronic dance music scene, Play was both a critical success and a commercial phenomenon. The album introduced Moby to a worldwide mainstream audience, not only through a large number of hit singles (that helped the album to dominate worldwide charts for two years), but also through unprecedented licensing of his music in films, television and commercial advertisements. Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which donates toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. The program was founded in 1947 by reservist Major William L. Hendricks. The mission of the program "is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted."The stated goal is to "deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens." |

Blank Gaze (Nenhum Olhar), first published in 2000, is a novel by Portuguese writer Jose Luis Peixoto . It is the most translated of his novels. He received the José Saramago Prize in 2001 and describes a universe in which the landscape rural Alentejo is mixed with elements of fantasy. In a village in the Portuguese region of Alentejo, against a background of severe rural poverty, Jose Luis Peixoto weaves a mesmerising tale of men and women hardened by hunger and toil, but prey to love, jealousy, violence and the overwhelming power of dynastic fate. Clarence shows George all the lives he has touched and the contributions he has made to his community. |

Ramones is the eponymous debut album by the American punk rock band the Ramones, who are widely cited as the first punk rock band. It was released on April 23, 1976 through Sire Records. The album features several themes, including Nazism, violence, male prostitution and drug use. It has fourteen tracks and is twenty-nine minutes and four seconds long. The group covered the song "Let's Dance" by Chris Montez. The album received very high ratings by reviewers, with Allmusic and Rolling Stone, both rewarding it with a maximum rating of five out of five stars.

Cat's Cradle is a 1963 novel by Kurt Vonnegut. It explores issues of science, technology, and religion, satirizing the arms race and many other targets along the way. After turning down his original thesis, the University of Chicago, in 1971, awarded Vonnegut his Master's degree in anthropology for Cat's Cradle. The title of the book derives from the string game "cat's cradle". Early in the book we learn that Felix Hoenikker (a fictional co-inventor of the atom bomb) was playing cat's cradle when the bomb was dropped, and the game is later referenced by his son, Newton Hoenikker. |

Is This It is the debut studio album by American indie rock band The Strokes. The record entered the UK Albums Chart at number two and peaked at number 33 on the U.S. Billboard 200, going on to achieve platinum status in several markets. "Hard to Explain", "Last Nite", and "Someday" were released as singles. For the album, The Strokes strived to capture a simple rock sound that was not significantly enhanced in the studio. Building on the work of their 2001 debut EP, The Modern Age, the band members molded compositions largely through live takes during the recording sessions, while lyricist Julian Casablancas continued to detail the lives and relationships of urban youth.

Interview with the Vampire is a vampire novel by Anne Rice written in 1973 and published in 1976. It was the first novel to feature the enigmatic vampire Lestat, and was followed by several sequels, collectively known as The Vampire Chronicles. A vampire named Louis tells his 200-year-long life story to reporter Daniel Molloy (who is only referred to as "the boy" in the novel). A film version, Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles, was released in 1994. To date, the novel has sold some 8 million copies worldwide. |

Capote is a 2005 biographical film about Truman Capote, following the events during the writing of Capote's non-fiction book In Cold Blood. Philip Seymour Hoffman won several awards, including the Academy Award for Best Actor, for his critically acclaimed portrayal of the title role. The movie itself was based on the biography called Capote by Gerald Clarke. Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables is the debut album by the American hardcore punk band Dead Kennedys. It was released in September 1980 through Faulty Products in the United States (later by the DK's own Alternative Tentacles label) and through Cherry Red Records in the United Kingdom. The best selling and generally the most critically acclaimed album by the Dead Kennedys, Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables has become a major staple of American punk. |

Founded by actor and humanitarian Sean Penn, J/P HRO began its work just hours after the earthquake hit. Through his previous relief efforts — including experience rescuing hurricane victims and helping to rebuild New Orleans after hurricane Katrina — he had amassed a large network of emergency management and government contacts, whom he mobilized to take immediate action in Haiti. J/P HRO focuses on medical aid, protection and re-location, predominantly in Port au Prince.
