Scottsdale, Ariz.–Thirty Seconds To Mars will celebrate with thousands of college football fans at College Football’s Biggest Party, before the Tostitos BCS National Championship Game on ESPN, ESPN3.com and ESPN Radio Monday, Jan. 10 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

The three-member band (lead singer and guitarist Jared Leto, drummer Shannon Leto and guitarist Tomo Milicevic) spent 18 months creating their third album, This Is War. “It’s not so much an evolution as it is a revolution. It’s a coming of age,” says lead singer Jared Leto. The band’s hard work has been rewarded over the course of this year. This Is War went gold in six countries after its December 2009 release. From this album, the singles “Kings & Queens” and “This Is War” reached No. 1 on the alternative album airplay charts this year, and the band’s third single “Closer To The Edge”is at No. 9.ESPNU will televise the band’s live performance of “Closer To The Edge from the event.

The Los Angeles Times calls This Is War “Combative…sinister…the most confident-sounding thing the band has done.” The album has won numerous awards this year alone. In July they won their fourth Kerrang! Award as the 2010 Best International Band. In August they took home the Best Rock Video award at the MTV VMA’s for the second time, and this past November they received their fourth MTV EMA award for Best Rock Band.

College Football’s Biggest Party is the ultimate tailgate experience. Sports fans enjoy live music, pep rallies, food and beverage, performances from the participating schools bands and cheerleaders and much more. The event will be held on Jan. 10, 2011 from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Glendale Youth Sports Complex in Glendale, Ariz. Tickets are $35 per person and the party is open to the public.
