Church of Mars, Jared se prend-t-il pour un nouveau messie ? (à moins que qq'un ne m'éclaire sur cette Chruch)

LLF+D : que des vieilles chansons finalement ? Que du réchauffé ? Y en a que j'aime beaucoup mais ça reste SUPER abordable musicalement parlant (c'est évidemment pour ne pas dire commercial).

Symbolique : semble quasi inexistante : dommage, ça rendait leur message + riche...

C'était vraiment génial! J'ai écouté les deux VyRTs et je peux définitivement affirmer que mon 10$ était très bien investi. J'ai beaucoup aimé à quel point le band interagissait avec leurs fans pendant le Church Of Mars... c'était vraiment génial! Par contre, ils ont oublié la chanson dédicacée dont ils avaient parlé dans le chat de la semaine passée....

Jared qui avoue lui même faire du réchauffé avec des chansons qui trainaient dans un tiroir, mais où va le monde

J'ai pas (encore) regardé le concert mais à en croire les tweets du groupe, ils ont joué Buddha !
S'ils la joue dans ces conditions, il y a moyens que si on insiste un peu on l'ait aussi à Paris et/ou Bayonne

Tess, one of the winners (3 girls, 3 guys) of The Sleepover, wrote a review of her day at the Church of Mars and at The Lab. You can read her review (it’s in Spanish) at its original source here.

Since Google Translate does a poor job and actually mistranslated and took several parts of her post out of context, I took the liberty of doing the work myself for those who don’t understand a thing of Spanish.

So here are the most important/interesting bits from her review:

- Tess landed at LAX and was taken straight to the church where the guys were VyRTing and playing a show later that day. She was late, so when she arrived, VyRT was already over. She met Dai and Emma and then the other winners who told her about their VyRT experience. She met the band afterwards. Jared asked where the 4th winner was, she introduced herself and hugged him. She wanted to hug Shannon and Tomo as well.


- when the concert was over, the band stayed to autograph the CD’s of those who had purchased one. “But they left us waiting there. BIG MISTAKE”.


- “We expected the guys to spend the night with us at The Lab (I’ll talk about that later)”.


- while they were waiting to go to The Lab, she sat with Vicki in the crew room. She was nice, hugged her and they took photos together. Then she went back to the other winners.


- Jared showed up, said goodbye to his friends and asked the winners if they were ready to leave for The Lab. They said “yeah” and Jared said “grab all your stuff then”. He started offering soda (Coke), but they ended up not giving any - “something happened, so I couldn’t have it”.


- in order to drive up to The Lab, the winners were split into groups. One of the guys went with Jamie, the other two guys went with Emma, one of the girls took her own car, and Tess and the other girl went with a guy whose name she can’t remember.


- when they got in the car they were given masks “similar to those you see in the UITA video”, and they were told to put them on exactly when they were ordered to. At a certain point they were told to put the masks on, so they couldn’t see the directions to the house, where it was located. “1000 turns, many roads, 1000 roundabouts, noises. Until we felt dizzy. Finally we parked, we got out, and only when we stepped inside The Lab they took off our masks.”


- they had cake, soda and inflatable mattresses with sleeping bags on the floor. “We started watching their mini-concert at Jimmy Kimmel because it was airing on TV that night”.


- “They brought us pizza, forbid us from taking photos and then took the guy from the UK to see Jared’s bed, which turned out to be a coffin”. (My note: MARS posted a video on Vine here)


- “halfway through Jimmy Kimmel’s mini-concert, me and one of the guys noticed Jared had just walked in, shouted and left. Meaning HE WAS THERE.”


- they went into the actual studio, where they were told about its history, they heard part of a song recorded in NYC. Jared asked them what the next single should be and everyone stated their opinion.


- after this, Jared said goodbye and left the house. “I went up to Dai and asked her if he would come back, but she told me he wouldn’t, because the band had an appointment very early in the morning”. She then realized they weren’t getting their things autographed, and she gave Shayla the gifts.


- “when I told the rest of the guys [about Jared being gone and no autographs] they also got upset. We expected something very different from this. At this point, Emma had left the house as well.”


- “we tried watching The Shining but it wouldn’t work. All the movies we tried were a waste of time. Then Tomo arrived with Vicki and their dog. He was just passing by (which was nice of him), and then he left. And when he left, everyone else left. They left us alone in The Lab. And since we weren’t able to watch any movies, we went to sleep”.


- “At 6:30am Sara [my note: like Dai, Sara works at The Lab] arrived and woke us up. Those who wanted to take a shower took a shower, and then Sara called cabs for us”.


Tess’ final note:

“Yes, I have to admit that I’m sure some of you have had more opportunities to interact with the band. It was very nice, very cool, and even though this was not what we were expecting it to be, and we were eager for more, I am grateful for having been there and for being given this opportunity.”

Donc, retour pas hyper positif du fait qu'ils se sont retrouvés seuls au Lab, pas d'autographes tout ça... Punaise mais les enfants, il fallait aller fouiller les cartons !!

Ils semblent s'être un peu ennuyés là-bas, c'est dommage. Et apparemment, les films qu'a Jared chez lui sont un peu nuls, c'est bête.

Le coup du "on nous a mis des masques pour pas qu'on connaisse le chemin" je trouve ça un peu abusé quand même, ça fait un peu kidnapping pour le coup :/ Cela dit, celle qui a pris sa voiture le connaîtra.

Le coup des masques me choque pas plus que ça, après tout c'est aussi pour se protéger (même s'ils tendent le baton pour se faire battre...)
Ce qui me choque plus c'est qu'ils aient présenté ça comme une super soirée and co et au final leur maison a juste servi d'hotel... Super.
Shannon n'est pas mentionné une seule fois d'ailleurs, est ce que ça serait encore une fois un acte de rebellion de sa part vis à vis de ce genre de choses?^^

Perso le coup des masques, je trouve ça plus marrant que flippant. ça fait genre "on t'envoie dans un endroit secret dont tu ne dois pas pouvoir retrouver le chemin seul ensuite". ça se tient!

Par contre, un peu les boules pour l'accueil et le fait de les lâcher comme ça avec 3 pauvres DVD qui marchent pas.
En même temps, fallait pas s'attendre à faire dodo avec eux pour de vrai.
Rien d'inattendu en somme.
Et pour le coup, j'apprécie que la meuf fasse pas une review "Jared letrobo, shannon itou...trop cool la maison, trop fan, trop génial même si on était tous seuls en fait".

Je comprends aussi le coup des masques mais je suis pas sûre que je l'aurai supporté :/ ça doit être mon côté claustro qui ressort

Par contre, comme je disais plus haut celle qui visiblement les a suivis en voiture pourra retrouver facilement la maison, même s'ils les ont fait tourner un peu partout, en chopant un nom de rue, ça doit être repérable. Quoi que c'est vrai qu'aux US les rues ne sont pas faites comme chez nous
Bref, ça semble avoir été lui du "fun time" dont parlait Jared...

Sarah a eu l'air de s'en vouloir de les réveiller si tôt par contre, sachant qu'elle a dit juste avant s'être levée à 5h pour commencer à bosser à 6h30 :

Pour le VyRT, je viens de me rendre compte que j'ai pas donné mon impression alors que je l'ai vu
Le truc que j'ai retenu en plus de ce qu'a dit Audrey, ce sont les fous rire de Tomo (j'adore ) et surtout que Jared buvait un Starbuck

Oui je sais tout le monde s'en fout ! Mais je voulais le dire NA !

Pour la review d'une des gagnantes de la Sleepover postée plus haut par Audrey, voila la version en espagnol (pour ceux, comme moi, qui comprennent beaucoup plus de choses en espagnol qu'en anglais )

En lisant vos résumé je suis du coup un peu dégouté de ne pas avoir pris ce Vyrt. Car on n'en apprend beaucoup. Mais je ne voulais pas me faire spoiler sur les chanson comme je n'avais pas encore l'album ( que je refusait d'écouter sur Youtube, de plus ou moins bonne qualité ^^ j'ai finalement acheter hier à la fnac) Mais bon qu'à demi regret car j'étais complétement malade aussi donc bon.

Mais c'est vrai que ça m'aurait bien plu de le voir il avait l'air vraiment pas mal et en plus j'en ai jamais fait...

Le coup des masques j'ai trouvé ça très drôle et plutôt logique au final ( sinon pour se repérer ils auraient pu la jouer à la Taken 2 pour ceux qui se souviennent du passage...)

Je suis d'accord avec Audrey ils sont tous seuls et repartent sans rien !!!!! Vous avez mal gérer les gars la!!!

Church of Mars : ils ont déjà fait plusieurs concerts nommés ainsi, et aussi à la fin de la dernière tournée. C'est je crois pcqu'ils jouent dans une église.
Pour les vieilles chansons : cette question a été +/- déjà traitée dans ce sujet ou un autre relatif.
Pour la tête de Shannon, c'est à l’interprétation de chacun, désolée mais perso j'étais pas là avant l'interview donc je sais pas s'il s'est tapé un spliff ou pas.

Non t'es pas hors sujet et non, personne n'en a pas rien à foutre.
